Imamia Public School Ichgam was established in the year 1989 and with the establishment of IPS at Ichgam the people of the area developed more interest towards modern education as a result of which those students who received their basic education from IPS Ichgam easily got . Government employment after completing their graduation/ post graduation/MBBS and engineering courses etc. IPS Ichgam is one of the best Trust run High schools of District Budgam and presently it is housed in a big three storyed Trust owned building with a huge compound and other required facilities . The roll of the students at present is above 400.
