Located at a central place, IPS Khanda Budgam was established in the year 1990 to inspire and motivate people towards quality education. By opening the school in Khanda village has yielded good results and number of students who have received their basic education from the school have excelled in various fields after completing the respective courses .Amongst them include Scientists, Chartered Accountants , KAS officers , Aeronautical Engineers, Doctors, both MBBS and BUMS, Engineers, Professors , Bank Officers, Lawyers etc. The school is presently run in a rented building of local Auqaf and it is considered one of the best schools in District Budgam.
